Coffin Bay is a 700 km drive from Adelaide via Port Augusta or a 50 minute flight from Adelaide to Port Lincoln Airport. REX Airlines and Qantaslink fly regular daily flights to Port Lincoln at competitive prices. Most major car rental companies have vehicles that can be picked up at Port Lincoln airport, a 35 minute drive to Coffin Bay.

A ferry service also runs between Wallaroo and Cowell that may help to shorten your trip by car.

If you are coming from Western Australia, turn onto the Flinders Highway 6 km past Ceduna and travel a further 370 km turning right 3 km past the town of Wangary and if you are coming from Northern Territory, follow the Eyre Highway from Port Augusta linking to the Lincoln Highway to Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay is only 45 km further on.
